I talked to Tracy about this last month, and she was uncertain as to how the railroad could receive money for an event with no services rendered. Basically, with no chase tickets being sold there was no clear path for donating to an event you were just going to watch.

I'm sure there is a way to do it, and maybe the railroad has done so in the past. But it was not intuitive to anyone when I asked.
