Spotting the Victorians

July 24, 2021 01:22PM
I am scheduled to be around Antonito for several days in August to observe the "Roundup of Victorian Iron Horses". I will not be there to take pictures, videos, or ride trains. I simply want to see these trains in action. Where along the line would be the best places to spot trains without becoming tangled up with big crowds, photo lines, or reckless auto traffic? I attended the 1993 rotary operation from Chama to Cumbres Pass and saw how quickly proper driving was abandoned.
