I would agree with Earl. The B-3 went back in service in 1957 under the new owners Wood and White. Wood added the drapes and other decorative touches but retained the kitchen, brass bed in the bedroom, and open seating in the rear parlor. The first trip, which I was on, was quite special. I spent several nights in the car sleeping in one of the Pullman berths. I was helping "Woody" do the research on the car which he planned on chartering. That was quite a summer in Durango and Silverton as a 16-year-old discovering the narrow gauge. I had to go home to California when the time came, but the place had its grips on me and I've been here 51 years. And despite some mishaps along the way, the Nomad has survived as well.
