This image is scanned from a copy print donated to our SVRR archive by a descendant of Sumpter Valley Ry. engineer Melvin Hutchins. Notes on the back of the photo say that it was taken in 1897. This scene was captured on the Sumpter Valley Ry. at Boulder Gorge about 15 miles up the line from South Baker.
