3. Rio Grande Southern 4-6-0 No. 20 is special – it’s an 1899 locomotive that’s a survivor of an amazing railroad thanks to the Rocky Mountain Railroad Club and the Colorado Railroad Museum.
4. It’s back in steam after a miraculous 12-year restoration at the Strasburg Rail Road in Pennsylvania and completed at the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden in 2020.
5. No. 20 was on the cover of Trains Magazine in 1942, just after the periodical had begun.
6. Mingle with Trains staffers on board in 2021.
7. It’s in Antonito helping to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Cumbres & Toltec Scenic.
