Imagine when this was a rather mundane, ho-hum scene experienced nearly every day for the ranchers living near the Sumpter Valley Ry. It might even be surprising that someone bothered to take a photo, but I am sure glad they did. This is the daily Sumpter Valley Ry. passenger train west bound in the Sumpter Valley probably in the 1920's. Note that this is one of the ACF passenger consists bought new by the Sumpter Valley in 1918. The full size cars survive in much modified condition up on the White Pass. The scan is from the SVRR Archive.
