A few of our passenger cars here a the Strasburg Rail Road have needed the truss rods adjusted. It's quite a project, involving jacking the center of the car to unload the truss rods, and lots of heating, hammering, and wire wheeling the threads on the turnbuckles to get them to turn. IIRC, they shoot for about an inch of positive camber.
