We really have no idea, here how many times 223 was repainted while it was sitting in the park, then when it was moved to be placed on display at the Rio Grande Depot in Salt Lake. I know of no records but it had to have been done. Part of the reason that iron and steel items don't fair well in Salt Lake is because of the salt, helping the oxidizing agents cut through the paints and metals.

Still a Student,

Dave
