I was in a campground north and west of Jasper. I had been walking along a trail for a while and decided to return to the campground. As I entered the campground people in the campground were staring at me not saying a word. I turned around and a bear was walking about 3 feet behind me! I stepped off the road and the bear just ambled on by and finally came to the garbage containers which were supposed to be bear proof. S/He had no problem get one open and checked it out for scraps.
