Thanks for the kind words, everyone! Though it looks like I'm eating my words about it being the last week of Durango-Cascade service, as I see this new update on the D&S website today:
Cascade Canyon Express excursions from 5/1/21-5/14/21 will depart from our Durango Depot (479 Main Avenue) at 9:30am and the excursion will last 5 hours arriving back at the Durango Depot at 2:30pm.
Excursions departing 5/15-11/7 will depart from Rockwood Station, located 18-miles north of Durango, at 878 County Road 200, Durango, CO
Departure time is either 9:00am or 12:15pm. The excursion duration for these trips will be 2 hours.
So here's a bonus photo from yesterday as penance:
