With way too much time on my hands I occasionally look through old slides to see if I can find anything interesting. So the other day I noticed this and said to myself it looks like an interesting scene, so I scanned it and came up with this. Overcast, grainy, a bit out of focus, but kinda a gritty scene of steam railroading. I was probably shooting Kodachrome 200, worlds worst slide film! But perhaps the defects in the film and photographer add to the ambience.
It looks to me a phraudo freight was adding a helper at Osier for the trek to Cumbres. The date on the slide is October 1998, but I have no recollection what the charter was or any other pix that I can find. Can any one help with more info. Not really important but I'm just curious.
