Interesting. NS owns the track that runs through the little town I live in (the former PRR main line) but CSX runs trains on it once in awhile as well. When NS runs a train late at night they nearly always blow the horns as quietly as reasonably possible. CSX invariably blares them full blast, waking the entire town. Hadn't thought that the horn equipment might be set up differently.
As a sad side note, those Buick springs aren't what they used to be back in the Dynaride days; their modern vehicles ride just as hard and miserably as everything else does nowadays.
