I hate to say it, but some of these people do have legitimate complaints these days. The last 15 years horn quality is terrible. Railroads don't maintain them, and for several years they were coming right out of the factory out of tune. So you don't have nice, melodic horns anymore, you have screaming noise makers that sound like hell more often then not. Been in the horn hobby for many years now and see it first hand.
The second is the crossings being blocked. Big RR's are running 15k foot trains now, and they make absolutely no effort to do anything to help. I personally think the repeal of the 10 minute crossing rule was a crock a few years ago. They should not be allowed to block a crossing for hours on end. It all boils down to poor planning, which is another can of worms dealing with railroads today.
