Tri-Mount trucks require way more upkeep than conventional 3-axle Dofasco trucks. Engine crews on the N.P. referred to their earliest GE's.riding the same design as "Springless Chuggers". If the maint. ain't done, they become a derailment hazard due in part to the designs inherent increasing stiffness.
