After hiking to the two trestles, we drove east to Death Valley Junction. Here's a view looking southwest of the grade leading away from DVJ:
Just behind me was a small trestle site. Flash floods had removed all traces of it except for this timber protruding from the edge of the grade:
Nearby was the only remnant of a tie that I found:
I next backtracked and crossed highway 127 to record the view as the grade entered Death Valley Junction:
Just a few yards down this grade we come to the wye:
The water tanks date from railroad days as do many other structures still extant. Unfortunately, the entire area was fenced off with No Trespassing signs...
