After viewing the trestle site we walked upgrade about 1/4 mile towards the next trestle site. there were numerous cuts and fills throughout this area:

First cut above the trestle

Coming out of the cut onto a small fill

After the small fill was a larger cut. This photo looks back to the east from this cut.
