Bon Mot

Thanks for all the number board info. Now onto plows.
Were snowplows swapped between locos of the same class, or were plows "assigned" to locos?
Did any locos carry both of the different styles of plows? (Protruding pilot beam vs.smooth sided)
(If this was covered some months back, my apologies)
