Craig,

The water tank shot with star trails is at Cass. It is a 30 minute exposure, F/5.6, ISO 200, 24mm focal length. To the naked eye the tank is completely dark. Two sources of light: 1. the full moon, some of it is bleeding in from the upper right corner. 2. the locomotive shops is over behind my left shoulder - just enough ambient light over the 30 minute span.

I have done well in Silverton under a full moon with the same camera settings shooting 315.
