In an 1884 public TT Crystal Creek was listed as 329 miles from Denver. Cimarron 331, Currecanti 323
1887 pub TT Cimarron 331 (Crystal Creek, Currecanti not listed)
1915 pub TT Cimarron 329.0, (ditto)
In a 1919 emp TT, Crystal Creek was listed as MP 327.52. Cimarron MP 329.01, Currecanti MP 320.85
1942 emp TT shows Crystal Creek 327.5, Cimarron 329.0, Currecanti 320.8
So, bearing in mind that Public TT's are rounded off to the nearest mile or so, it would seem that at some point between 1887 and 1915 the distances were adjusted on this stretch of line.
2nd quick check (same TT's):
1884: Canyon City 161, Salida 217, Gunnison 290
1887: Canyon City 161, Salida 217, Gunnison 290
1915: Canyon City 160.0, Salida 215.1, Gunnison 288.6
1919: Salida 215.11, Gunnison 288.64
1942: Salida 215.1, Gunnison 288.4
Perhaps part of the the rebuildings of the early 1900's, before the WP sucked up all the $$$ the D&RG had to spend?
