In this scene at the Delhi RR Museum, the 4-8-0+0-8-4 Garrat is either seriously overweight, or the track structure is seriously underweight. Moving the engine on this track would probably not be a really good idea. It reminds me of a cab ride on the Condon, Kinzua & Southern Railroad in north-central Oregon. Approaching the bottom of a dip, the track ahead of us jumped at least 10 inches or more out of the road bed, but settled back down as the engine put weight on it. No problem, and we continued on to the Union Pacific interchange at Condon to drop the lumber loads from the Kinzua mill. Both the CK&S as well as the UP branch are long gone. I took some movies, but wish I had taken more.
