First I have to confess that, looking at my rail travel log, these gourmet cooking activities occurred a few days before Thanksgiving in 2004, and the barbecue target is lamb rather than turkey. But what the heck, being so far on the other side of the equator in Patagonia, I am sure that this feast was enjoyed just as much as any Thanksgiving dinner in the USA
Besides, I am not sure that they have wild turkeys in Patagonia. The closest thing I saw as we were rocking along on the ng Baldwin 2-8-2, was a Rhea with 7 chicks running away from the double header rushing toward them. That Rhea mom would have been way too big to fit in the steam dome, and those chicks would have been way too cute to harm in any way
