I hope you all will not mind me sharing something personal.
Today marks the 7th anniversary of the passing of my wife of 50 years. Anne was a special person and I was blessed to have those years with her. She was Japanese but lived in the US longer than Japan. The US Air Force picked her as Family Services Volunteer of the Year in 1974. She chased trains with me all over the USA....EBT in Pennsylvania, Western Maryland out of Elkins, Western Pacific in Nevada, and all the Colorado railroads of course. She once told Bob Richardson that she had ridden more narrow gauge trains than he had. She cleaned his old house at the CRRM one weekend and chewed him out for the house being so messy. He told her the house had never been that clean and uncluttered. He also told her that she probably had seen more abandoned ROW that he had.
