Re: Wichita State plane crash at Silver Plume-1970

The NTSB report is titled "Aircraft Accident Report Martin 404 N464M 8 Statute Miles West of Silver Plume, Colorado October 2 1970"

My read of the accident report puts the crash site just south southwest of the Herman Gulch Trailhead (on today's maps), about 1/2 mile away from current Chair 3, and the first switchback of Loveland Pass.

EDIT--here's the GPS coordinates: 39 41 35.7N 105 52 54.8W
Further EDIT--the crash site is quite visible in satellite imagery today. It's a gash through the trees, a couple hundred feet north of I-70.
