I couldn't disagree more. The C&TS is a living museum, and a C-16 would fit perfectly within that mission.

This isn't a case of "you can afford 3 projects....". Something like restoring a T-12 or a C-16 is (I believe) largely funded from grants and community members and does not come out of the railroad's operational budget.

Once the status of Utah moves #223 to their museum in SLC (I believe that's the plan) then any efforts to finish the restoration become *much* more difficult.

In short, if the railroad has expressed interest in restoring the #223 (and they have) then I trust they know that this not only won't impact impact, but will enhance, their goals.
