Saturday was the last Como workday for the 2020 season. We had a good turnout and got alot done.
First up was some work on the track that C&S 8311 now sits on by the depot;
Our goal was to get the rail length of track in front of C&S 8311 in proper alignment and ready for the installation of the switch frog (and switch) next year. This was the starting point on Saturday morning.
The Georgetown Loop was kind enough to loan us a rail drill so that we we could make the holes in the rail match the jointbars!
The track crew at work on 8311's track.
All done for now. One of the first projects for next year will be to complete the switch so that 8311 will be on live track. We have most of the parts for the switch, with the exception of a #6 60LB frog.
