Are narrow gauge side bearing clearances different from standard gauge? IIRC, on standard gauge the clearance was 3/4" min. with 1 1/2" max. You get that by adding the sum of the 2 side bearings clearances per truck. Track doesn't have to be level, but the measuring device must be good enough for accurate measurement. Add or subtract shims to get the measurement to fall within the min.-max. allowed.
