I don't mind the paint scheme at all except for the absence of an ampersand in the lettering. It represents the standard and premium class colors (something Randy mentioned in the Trains Magazine interview) and it will probably look better on the narrow gauge trucks being built for it. I think some of the people who are disappointed with it here on the forum are so because of the speculation and hype that was built here in the past 2 to 3 months if not longer that was supporting the standard gauge black and gold schemes or the Rio Grande gold schemes.
I'm not a big fan of diesels as well. The announcement that the D&S was going to have these two units built was somewhat disappointing to me but there isn't anything I can do about it, and as long as they suit the needs and benefit the D&S I could care less about whatever paint scheme put on them.
