How far off are they, Earl?

The cylinders look exactly the same to me, whether narrow or standard gauge -
Which leads me to another obscure question that may never be fully answered
: When several of the K-27's were converted from slide valves to piston valves, were cylinders from scrapped standard gauge engines possibly used, to save the expense of casting entirely new cylinders? Would a slight mis-alignment have been acceptable for light-duty use, or slightly longer main crankpins have done the job to line up the main rods with the pistons??
