Although I've never been to the site, I think it is visible on Google Earth:

This is the location of the first serious curve coming off Dallas Divide. The vegetation also matches the location in the photos with Aspens on the uphill side and scrub & grass on the downhill side.

I've always wanted to visit this site, but do not know who to contact to get permission...
