Without getting into the convoluted story of the Blue Mountain locomotive, besides retrieving that set of trucks, the other major purpose of the trip was to retrieve the original boiler of the engine. Suffice it to say that the Blue Mountain is now in Walla Walla and a new set of volunteers is planning to continue the restoration.
