Quick update: The siding replacement is complete on both sides and has been primed and has one coat of paint as of the end of last week, which was our annual work week (we also have work days every Tuesday morning in good weather). Side buckling, sometimes called "Jackson and Sharp disease", has been cured by steel inserts installed within the walls before installation of the new siding. New end sills, steps and platforms have been fabricated and installed. The above photo is from around three weeks ago or so.
