For project 1118:
Car 11036 has 4 wheelsets (8 wheels) slated to be turned if they have enough meat on them so to do. When the RR gets them into the shop, they give a thumbs up, or down, if that is do-able.
Car 11037 has 4 wheelsets (8 wheels) slated to be replaced. This is a WAY more time consuming, labor intensive project, which can happen as shop time allows. Day to day operations have to take shop priority.
All wheel work is being done via Chama. Thanks to the AMAZING Doug (AKA popeye) shipping wheelsets between Antonito and Chama is no big deal.
(Moving 1500 pound wheelsets over the hill is a BIG deal to little me, but it is just a small thing to Doug)
I mostly hang out in Chama. There is one Narrow Framed tanker with all good wheels (I don't have the car number at hand) and it looks good to go.
A second Narrow Framed tanker has 2 bad wheelsets (4 wheels). 2 Good wheelsets are available and my goal is to get them under that car during E-F which will get us two narrow framed tankers.
The worst part of my "job" is that I can't actually be around for the RGS Charter!
Y'all get me some good pics!
