Don, A friend of mine noticed a post I did with a complete URL address link of a file in google drive was condensed to [drive.google.com]. He noticed hovering the mouse on that showed the full address. He wanted to know how that works. I don't know. Magic? Is it done automatically for links posted on ngdiscussion to save space?
