Hawley was a signal maintainer.
John Carson, also was part of the Grand Junction contingent. John worked as a carman with Harry.
All three worked for the D&RGW at the same time. After their retirement, they came down to Chama to volunteer with the newly formed "Friends" in 1989. They volunteered for several years.
Both Hawley and John are deceased. Harry now gives advice to volunteer carmen.
