How many 2-foot gauge Shays did Lima build? I know five were sold to Gilpin Tramway in Colorado.. At least one Gilpin Shays was later sold to Silver City, Los Altos & Mongollon Ry in New Mexico.. Good Roads Construction Co. bought a two-footer from Lima in the 1920's. (That little Shay is in occasional operation today on a private railroad near Bradford, PA). Were there other baby Shays?
Incidentally, Heisler built only one two-foot gauge locomotive . It was -outshopped in 1916 for an industrial line in Campeche, Mexico. I don't think Climax ever built a two-footer,
