Hi, all -
About halfway through the second slide show, there's a shot of a flanger sitting on a
siding in La Jara. The lettering is so faded that it's impossible to determine which one
it is. There's some consideration that it might be 'OK', but on page 71 of Terry's book
Ernie mentions that 'OK' was part of D&RGW's third delivery of equipment to Antonito,
and that it was set out at Lobato on October 9th.
Flanger 'OK' was in use during 1973, and played a role in the ice-caused derailment just below the bridge at Cumbres on May 12. Here she is on May 13, her identity clearly visible, as the track crew re-aligns one of the rails that had been dislodged either by the initial derailment or during the several attempts needed to get everything - locos, tenders & flanger - back on the track

p.s. I'm in the middle of re-scanning all three rolls taken those two days, partly to get sharp archival copies,
and partly in an attempt to convince my over-heated brain that it's a nice, snowy day outside
