Hi, All -

I don't remember when I arrived in Antonito – probably on Tuesday evening – but I do remember taking only a couple of photos of #483 on Wednesday morning, Day Two of the C&TS, before leaving my dog Nikki with some of the other volunteers and hopping on the speeder that Richard mentioned above, along with a small crew headed toward a bad section of track between Calico Cut and the location of the Toltec section house.

I've posted these photos before, but the following are more recent and sharper scans:


That pup is similar to my own, but slightly smaller and a bit darker:


This gives a better idea of just where we were, two or three hundred yards west of 'Calico Cut':


Meanwhile, Ernie Robart had taken this photo as C&TS #483 moved under her own power for the first time:
