It's nice to be remembered. I also remember seeing you and the family several times chasing a triple header up the hill. One show you worked hard for to be able to put on. You and Earl and all the C&TS crew from that era were a crackerjack team and should be proud of your accomplishments.
I know being a goodwill ambassador is very important to running any tourist dependent operation, but sometimes it is not enough. I saw they upped the 05635 rental price from $390 to $600. I do not know if I'll be able to rent her again (the hospital bill for about $37,000 came in and supposedly the insurance covers 100% BUT...) however, if I can, I will continue to open it up to other riders. It makes my ride so much more enjoyable to share.
I do want to get up to Alaska. About the most important non-railroad desire I have is to see and maybe even walk onto a glacier (a river of ice) and I think Alaska is the place to do it.
