Dreaming, I know... but maybe if the Silverton Northern line is laid a bit further, both Geese could run on weekends there during the summer. Just transport them once per season, and perhaps find some locals in Silverton to train to help operate them.

And to keep the D&S happy, perhaps let this be an add-on to a D&S trip ticket - a little excursion in the Geese during the Silverton lunch stop.
