Why do we work weeks beforehand and then get up at 5:30 each morning to lubricate and check the running gear, and then light the fire before 7 am for a 10 am departure? The last photo says it all.

The heat from the wood stoves in the cars melted the snow on the roof causing icicles to form.
We burned 4 cords of wood during the 2 days of operation, each rack is one cord.
