Don't blame the Colorado Railroad Museum for waiting until the last minute to announce the cancellation of Goose 3's trip. Up to Wednesday 6/13/12 at 5:37 PM No.3's trip was still a go. There were some details to be worked out, but the Museum had no prior knowledge that 3 would not attend. The Museum received an E-Mail from Knotts at 5:37PM 6/13/12 regretfully informing the Museum 3's trip was cancelled. The museum staff worked tirelessly all day Thursday and up to 11:00 AM today trying to rectify the situation to no avail.
The entire staff and volunteers of the Museum have worked for months to put this Goosefest together. We all are dissapointed that No. 3 will not attend. BUT, The CRRM has put together a great event. Goose 4 will attend, very few people have ever seen No.4 run since it ended up in Telluride/Ridgway. It will run at Goosefest along with the replica of No.1.Thanks to Karl Schaeffer and crew at the Ridgway RR Museum. The GGHS will bring No.5 from Dolores, thanks to Lew, Larry, Denise and the rest of the GGHS crew. Two bus bodied Geese at the same event. Then there are all three resident CRRM motors. No.7 that retains it's Pierce Arrow body. No.6 the "pickup" version and No.2 with it's Buick running gear and replacement San Cristobal RR Pierce Arrow body. These 3 Motors all operate well. We can arrange for one to break down so as to be a typical RGS run. We have a new track running through the parking lot. On it will be recently restored Colorado and Northwestern No.30. Better known to RGS fans as Rio Grande Southern No.74. Yes we're dissapointed No.3 will not attend, but it still will be a great Goosefest. Please do not miss it.

P.S. Russ cut the Museum a little slack, we are innocent of waiting until the last minute, we had no prior knowledge.
