Still in shock its gone forever. This carbody was my 2nd favorite at CRRM. How ignorant. I won't elaborate. I will never ever "get over it"... What will we use as a head end car on our 1880s passenger consist? The restored D&RG 1880s passenger consist is a vision for many a CRRM volunteer and staff personal.(It would look cool behind DSP&P 191 in the distant future.) The "time and money" for such restorations will be found, as will the education, mutual communication, organization and a little creativity which are required logistics for such endeavors. Perhaps we (at CRRM) can talk about in our recently acquired and soon to be relocated 1950s UP/D&RGW diner.
This must never happen again! I will address all in person who were involved on what went wrong from my perspective. The positive results from this mishap to ever improve The Colorado Railroad Historic Foundation will be posted in the future on this forum. Communication, Education, Transparency and Activism makes a great hobby. Roger Hogan seems to have fun with it. Unlike truth, malacy has no purpose for me or anyone for such a big thing in my little life which is my love and admiration for the Colorado Railroad Museum and its mission statement.
