With all of the excitement surrounding the potential purchast of FCN #48 for use on the GLRR, I contacted a railfan friend of mine in Costa
Rica, Mr. Omar Dengo, and look what he sent me this morning!

A video of #48, under steam and running on some sort of trial run in 1981. There are some nice shots of the locomotive, both standing and running, althougn I doubt that #48 will be able to stretch its legs as it does in the video on the GLRR. The engine looks like a scaled down version of a K-27 with domes like the K-36's.
