I suspect that the original side panels were put back on and perhaps a new roof installed by Ridgway before shipping her to the Farm. These bus bodies were fairly unique. They were war surplus bodies from busses that were used not only in France and other places with right hand running on the roads but also in England where traffic kept to the left, hence the doors on both sides of the bus. The domestic Waynes only had doors on the right.
