We'll miss you here, Bill -
The pop-psych over-simplification has it that "The Left Brain is Linear and the Right is Rounded", so I would figure that choo-choo addiction
* - since trains run in a linear way - is an affliction of the left brain, whereas color preference is generally associated with the holistic or artistic tendencies usually attributed to the right hemisphere.

* Choo-choo addiction - like autism - is usually apparent when the victim is quite young, and generally persists into late adulthood. Symptoms may include foaming at the mouth at the sight of an active steam locomotive, and - when possible - the purchase of large numbers of cameras and/or rail-themed DVDs. Though not in itself directly harmful to the brain, this illness often causes social difficulties for the afflicted individual, and may lead to potentially fatal or at least dangerous behavior such as that resulting in the photo on [
ngdiscussion.net] and further described in popular verse at [
ngdiscussion.net].
** Most individuals described as 'normal' by their peers and by the psychiatric community seem to prefer the so-called "cool" colors of nature, such as the subdued dark olive green generally associated with a peaceful forest scene or a beautiful steam locomotive. A preference for bright colors such as 'fire-engine' red, 'Armour' yellow, 'Thomas' blue and especially 'Grande' gold is often displayed by those described as 'eccentric' by most persons.
