Man, it would be great to be there!   I remember wading across the creek near Ironton and hiking up to the Corkscrew Gulch turntable site way back in 1971 or thereabouts - I'm sure it will be a much easier hike along the RR grade from somewhere near Red Mountain Town. And it wouldn't be too much of a push to join you for the hikes on the 15th & 16th and still make it to Chama early enough on the 17th to catch the Moonlight(less) Dinner Train and grand reunion of Instigators & Curmudgeons at Osier. The biggest down-side would be missing Ed Stabler's performance at the Rio Chama campground on Friday night.
