Sounds like a great couple of days. Unfortunately I don't live in the Ouray/Ridgway area anymore and nowhere near close enough to make it over.
I've probably been over most of the old grades but there's always something new and it would fun to do it with a bunch of other like-mindedcrazies rail/history buffs.
