Continental Engine Company made engines of every size for about every company that didn't make their own, including cars, trucks, aircraft, and non-vehicle applications

A common feature on many Continental inline engines I've seen is the "outside of the cylinders" in plain sight, as on the Goose engine pictured.

Here are a couple of photos of other model Continental engines showing the "outside of the cylinders" appearance.

My thought is that this is a Continental engine.
