In support of what Jerry said, I had a hand in various aspects of the Cab. 3 restoration and I never saw the slightest hint of olive drab on any part. I have however wondered how much #3 was ever actually used on the WP&Y? Are there any photos of it out on the line in service? #3's 1" brake pipe had a curious(to me) stamped steel plug driven in one end to block it off so that the car could be only coupled from one end. This appeared to be something installed many decades ago. Certainly a mystery I'd like to solve.
