Here are a few things I recall about the car.
That is the original paint and gold leaf in the cabinet that dates from the cars prior configuration. Most of the white paint that covered over it was flaking badly and the green was very evident throughout the car. The current ceiling panels are made of formica and are installed over the original using the wood trim to keep it in place. It was not the easiest thing to install all of those, but the results are all of the original ceiling work is still under there. Unfortunately I had to rout slots in the original panels to accommodate the new wiring.
If Jeff looks in the bedroom closet the original finish is also present.
Their is also a board we made that has samples of all the original covering and floorings some where.
In addition to the electrical, we also rebuilt the plumbing and all of the sinks are functional, including hot water through a small water heater under the kitchen sink that is set up to run off the Durango's generator.
One other note of interest is the 6 station call system is fully serviceable, even the hidden station in the sleeping birth. The buzzer did work as well, but the contacts burnt up on it and so it only clicks now (or as of 2000).
